Hey all!
Ahhh it's the weekend for most of you, but not for me!
But that's ok, cause I have a fabuloso card to share with you!
One of the girls at work got another position within the city, and tonight is her last night with us.
I made her this fun little card...
I used an image from Octopode Factory, a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches,
and inspiration from lots of other challenges that are all listed below!

Siblings by chance

OOk, so I love playing along with the
10 minute craft dash over at pretty pink posh
This two weeks we're to use these inspiration colors
My card came in at 8:23
Wow!
I love this new sentiment stamp that came from
Unity stamps today!
I think I'll link up with their friends with flair on Friday,
Plus I'm also playing along with the bingo challenge at chocolate, coffee and cards.
I did the diagonal that includes bling, glitter, and flower!

Yeah for a second post tonight!
I hope you're having a creative start to your week!

Peace on earth

I made this quick ATC!
I had a super busy day, and it feels good to get some ink on my fingers!
The challenge at wicked Wednesday ATC's is peace
I happened to have this stamp in my stash, and it gave me a good excuse to use my stampendous
Glass glitter another time!
I'm hoping this isn't the end of my creative juices for the night!

Citrus bright

Well, it's definitely summer!!
Yesterday I was running some cold water to make my coffee,
and even though the faucet was all the way cold, the water was very much NOT cold!
Ahhh so it is in the summer in the desert!
What's your favorite summer treat???
Mine is popsicles!
I love them in raspberry, and chocolate, and lemon...
I made this fun layout... it may not be popsicles, but it's pretty darn close!
I'm lovin all the citrus colors!
Can you see where I paper pieced the dilly beans image?
Isn 't she cute??  Plus this is a super easy way to get out of coloring!
Not that I don't love me some coloring, but paper piecing sure takes the work out of it sometimes!
Here are some more pics!
 and
A bright fun addition to my growing scrapbook..
I'm starting to think there is supposed to be a theme to my book, but then again, maybe it should just
be willy nilly??
Do you have themed books, or do you just scrap them as they come??

Getting messy!

It's Sunday again!
That means it's a new challenge at Anything But a Card!
Ohhhh how much fun I had with this one!
Ohhh how my fingers were blue for like a week!!!
The new challenge is Get Messy With It!
Use your inks, paste, modeling clay, sprays, mists, gels, paints, ect,
you get the picture right??
Ok, so both of these pages are in my art journal on opposing pages,
This first one has lots and lots and lots of dylusions spray inks!
And I used some paper towels and gesso for lots of texture!
Plus I have to brag a little, I took these pics with the camera on my new phone!
Super clear, and super AWESOME!!!

This next page was made mostly with paints, but also with spray inks,
and a gel pen...
Plus I used stencils and such as well!
What are you creating today??
Come play along with all the messy gooey goodness over at Anything But a Card

Trying to be girly

You all know that I'm not girly..
wait, I think I've started a post or two this way before!
It seems like every time I try to make something girly I start a post this way...
(check google for another way to start a post about being girly!)
Ok, so I was going through that stack of pics that my mom make me take from her last time I was in Charlotte, and I came across a couple of me and my sister!
So I thought why not??
Here's the layout I created!
All the paper is from the Magnolia stack from DCWV
and I'm using their sketch as well! I made a few little tweaks (like I flipped it)
but I love that it's girly, even though the picture isn't so girly!
You can't tell in the pic, but we were on a train, going through the Smokey Mountains!
Ahhhh what a trip!!

It's all about love

I love LOVE!
Don't you all?  It's an amazing feeling, and often an amazing accomplishment!
My hubby and I sometimes have to work really hard at our love,
and other times it's super easy!
Wait, maybe that's our relationship!
Anyways, sometimes I like to make him a card, and leave it on the windshield of his car
so when he comes out from work there is a surprise for him!
I made this cute card last night for him!
I used the encrusted jewel technique that I found on the Stampendous blog
and that's their challenge for this month!
I bet when you hear jewel you automatically think girly girl right??
I think it's all about the colors, and I think even guys
like something shiny and pretty every now and then!
You can see the flecks of mica and large pink glitter that are standing out
against the embossed background!
It's really pretty cool looking

Then I stamped the butterflies and sentiment using a Unity Stamp Set
I stamped in white on the black paper, and it of course gives that chalkboard look!
Finally I finished it off with some washi tape.
Just a few strips gives the card a real finished look!

What are you creating today??
I'd love to see it!

I splurged and got my very first distress paint dabber!
I gotta tell you guys... it's really cool!
And super vibrant!

I'm off to the studio for some more creative time!
Hope to have another post later!

Angie Delarie Design Team

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I assure you that I've been a busy bee in the studio, but alas I have very little to show you all!
I DO however have a fun little card I made using a new Angie Delarie digi find it in her shop
It's a quick fathers day card,
I used up a bunch of scraps I had laying around the room from my bigger projects
Perfect for putting together something cute manly and burley!

For the background paper I just spritzed a little dylusions inks,
then I added all my fun bits!
The little circle at the top was originally blank
and I decided at the last minute to add the U Rock Stamp
Only problem was that I had already stuck it down with a pop dot,
luckily for me I was able to get all the ink on it!
Here is a close up!

Isn't this just the cutest digi??

Denami patterned paper blog hop

click here for my Anything But a Card DT Project (or scroll down)

Hello!!!
Welcome to the Denami Patterned Paper Blog Hop
You should have come from Emily's blog
and if you're jumpin in here then head over to the beginning at the Denami Blog

So for my creation I made a super quick card!
Yep, 7 minutes and 33 seconds for me!
I used papers from a Heidi Grace paper stack,
and the butterflies and the sentiment are both from Denami!
I'm always really challenging to stamp on patterned paper,
but when you use a pattern with a small design it's much easier!

I hope you're enjoying this hop
your next stop is over at Amy's Blog
I'm sure she has something fabulous in store for you!

Anything but a card challenge 21

Hey Everyone!
It's Sunday, and you know what that means right??
It's a new challenge week over at Anything but a Card
If you follow my blog at all (and of course I hope you do!!)
then you know that I have started making full 12 x12 layouts lately!
So I thought that it would be a perfect time to share one with you for this
"Male/ Men/ Dad/ Father"challenge!

Last time I visited my parents my mom let me take some of her older pics
and I just love this one of my parents
So I paired it with some recent pics I took of them last year when we went to the
grand canyon...
Of course I had to make them sepia like the pic,
but that old school sepia is so much brighter!  and the finish on the
picture is that rough texture that's so very cool!

Here are some close ups of the page...

So what are you making for Anything but a Card this two weeks???
There are so many options, and I'm sure the man in your life will love whatever it is!!

HELP!!!

OMG I cannot believe it's been almost a week since I posted!
For all of you that are loyal followers I am so sorry!
I have to let you all know that I've been busy in the craft room, but not on anything that I can share with you here and now.

This is where you all come in..
I am trying out for a design team.
It's for a product line that I adore!
I don't want to say that there has been a kaibosh on my creativity,
but it certainly feels that way!

Sooooooo
My question to all of you is...
do you have any tips or tricks that I should employ for this audition?
I am staying true to myself and my style,
and I'm going to borrow a nicer camera from a friend to take my pics,
but is there anything else that you would recommend that I do?

I appreciate all your help and anything at all you can recommend will be greatly appreciated!

On a creative note, I will definitely have a posting for you on Sunday
as I'm a participant in the Denami Blog hop on that day!
The theme is patterned paper, I can't wait to see what everyone creates!
