Summer flowers

I've been in a smashing mood!
Sooo why not?
I got this fabulous new stamp from tiddly inks this last week.
So today seemed like a great day to play with this fun stamp.
I've cracked open a new book,
And I'm hoping to start by smashing my trip to Florida.

Here's a close up of the stamping and paper piecing I did
See isn't she so cute?

Relaxing?

It was rainy and sorta gloomy when I got up this morning!
What cheers me up on a gloomy day?
Well the beach of course!
It's certainly too far to go today, but I can enjoy my recent getaway there!
I used a bunch of products I have in my stash from pretty little studio,
And plus I found that they have a sketch contest going on!
So I thought PERFECT!
I was gonna write in that big blue expanse of area, but decided to leave it alone!
I love that I was able to incorporate this feather that I picked up on my last day there!

And a close up of the picture and flags

I know I'm lucky enough to be able to craft all day today!

More christmas in july

More?? More you say?
Why yes, more Christmas in July!
Today I'm sharing an ATC that I whipped up!
Do you have some of those large stamps in your collection that absolutely will not fit
An ATC all by themselves?
This stamp is from stampendous, and there are two elves included on the same image.
I stamped just the tree, and cut it out without the elves!
Mounted on some Kraft and blue Christmas paper,
Then splattered with white paint, and I traced some stars from a stencil
Then I doodled inside the stars, added the believe stamp
Which came from unity stamps,
And voila!

One of my nicest thoughts

Today I got to have lunch with one of my work friends from my old job!!
It was so nice to spend a relaxing afternoon with her!
Afterwards I cam home and made her this card.

After all she is one of my nicest thoughts!

The sentiment is from Unity Stamps, and I'll be linking it up with their Friday Friends with Flair

I found the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches
and am playing along with the Time to Sparkle challenge at Crafty Creations
and the Bling it on challenge at Crafty Sentiments
Finally I'm linking up with the American Summer challenge at Stampendous
cause what's more summery than a big bright yellow flower???

Smashing again

It's been a while since I shred a smash page!
This morning I got up with hubby and while I was enjoying a cuppa joe
I wrote out my challenge list!
The new job is going fabulous, and I need some stress relief!
I made this Christmas inspired smash page, probably cause I wish it was winter time
(it's a fabulous time in Phoenix!)
and cause there seem to be a lot of Christmas in July themes going around!
A few weeks ago I found this cool book at the goodwill,
it's a cookbook of sorts, and it's from the late 1800's and is out of Virginia..
Don't worry, it's a reprint, but I thought it was perfect for this little smash page!
The image is from The Ocotopode Factory,
and I added some glittery embossing to her dress and ear muffs
Here's her close up
She was fun and pretty easy to color!

Anything but a card challenge: christmas in july

Hey everyone!
Yesterday was super hectic for me and hubby as we had to buy a new car!
Ohhh I know! Poor us right?
Well you see... I've had one of our cars for almost 13 years!
That's right, I don't like car payments, and figure if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Well, I ended up with a broken clutch and on the side of the road.
Sooooo while I woulda loved to get a little more involved with this layout,
This is what I came up with!

The new challenge at anything but a card is Christmas in July!
I adore these pictures of two of our digs, all dressed up!

What crafty things are you up to this weekend!

Bell rock

For my guest designer fussy and fancy post please scroll down.

 Good morning!
I know it's probably pretty hard to believe that I'm posting in the morning!
With my new job comes some new hours (at least for a while)
So I will be up in the mornings, and probably do some more postings at this time!
Yeah!!

Ok, so today I have a layout to share with you all!
I have had this picture hanging out on my craft desk for quite a while!
So I finally got it into a scrapbook page!
And here are some close ups of some of the details of the page
Banners across the top of the page

More banners along the middle of the page, and aren't those copper colored glitter thickers just the bomb??
And plus you can see where I used my brick wall stencil to paint in that cool brick wall?

I had a lot of fun making all the little banners, and playing with some paint,
I have lots of challenges that helped me along the way:

Bo Bunny: Use Banners
Scrappy Moms: Get Outdoors
Paper Issues: Nature Walk

Guest designer for fussy and fancy friday

I was thrilled to be chosen as a guest designer for the Fussy and Fancy Challenge!
I do love playing along with this challenge,
When I heard the challenge was lavender and lemon my head started to swim.
This really was a challenge for me!
However I started to pull anything around me that had these color profiles.
After a lot of trial and error I came up with this fun thank you card!
I wanted to thank my friend at my new job who has spent the last week with me in orientation!
I am lucky enough that I knew her at my previous job, so at least there was a friendship there to begin with!
Here is a close up of the mermaid

I hope you will hop on over to the Fussy and Fancy challenge site!

Twinkle twinkle little bat

Ok, Ok, I whipped out another ATC!
I just had to use my March Hare image from Rick St Dennis
I used all My Mind's Eye Papers, and all in Red White and Blue!
How perfect that my little sentiments had a "twinkle twinkle little star"
so I chopped off the star and added Bat!
He he he I layered it all up in My Mind's Eye fashion, and bam, a fun and easy ATC!
Ok, I'm off to work now!
I have lots of learning to do!

Down the rabbit hole

 Happy Monday!
Is it really already Monday??
I started a new job on Saturday, and the days are just flying by!
Today I took a little bit of time and make this cute and fun ATC!
You guys know how much I love to play along with the challenges at Wicked Wednesday ATC's
and this week the challenge was "down the rabbit hole"
I suppose I could have gotten more creative and tried to do something not Alice In Wonderland,
but that would of been silly since I wanted to used this FABULOUS
digi from Alicia's little shop!
So I did some funky off the wall flamish looking hair, and used up bits and pieces
of paper that I had sitting around the craft room!
I hope you like,

Being silly

I've found that when I get to spend time with my nephews that it can
Often times get prett silly!
Lucky for me I've usually got the camera ready for
Some of our antics!
This picture was taken while the three of us were sitting in the bak seat of
My mms rental car. It was pretty comical, and lots of fun!

I had to scrap it!

Anything but a card: steampunk

It's a new challenge over at Anything but a Card
STEAMPUNK!
How do you describe that??
it's sorta Victorian meets the mechanical world.
I can say I'd hoped for something a little different, but this is what I ended up with!
Can you see that is an old tombow glue bottle,
I added all kinds of metally goodness.
Come play along with us at Anything But a Card

Today I packed a little bag, and we will be off
To the California coast in the morning...
After 12 hours of work!

While we're gone, so I whipped up this card as a thank you
The image is from dilly beans, and I'll be linking up with their new challenge
Here's a close up of my coloring,
And I added red tinsel embossing powder to the fab bow!
I found the sketch over at Sunday sketches

Atc

I was super excited to win the challenge last week at wicked Wednesday!
I'm always excited to ge to play with new digi's!
This digi is from digi darlas, a made a mask for it,
And then inked up the background!
 Can you say beach wedding?
The clouds were punched out of some scrap paper I had lying around!
Quick, and perfect for this weeks challenge of June weddings!
Hope you enjoy!

Oozak guest designer

A few weeks back I found out I was choosen as the Guest Designer for Oozak
Which is a fabulous company that sells all sorts of crafting goodies!
My friend Mary is always raving about ordering her copic's from there,
but they also carry fab stuff like the Saturated Canary Rubber and
tons of embellies!

The new challenge is Anything Goes, with Girly Girl.
Oh no I thought when I found out!
I'm so NOT a girly girl!
So I did what I could, and I was bound and determined to stay away from
the ultra pink!

I made this fun little mini album for my niece
on the inside there are all sorts of pages for writing, or adding pictures,
and tags, or goodies that she may collect while she's on the cruise!

Here's a close up of my colored Saturated Canary Image
Lots of happy colors here!
and I added some fun pop up fruit stickers on the bottom
after all, they are going to the bahama's, and I'm sure there will be some great fruit eating going on!
