Tall happy birthday

 Happy Monday!
It's super hard to believe that March is almost over!
Today I want to share with you all a cute little card I made for a fabulous co-worker

I have a small confession, I didn't know it was her birthday until I got to work!
Luckily I happened to have my copic markers, and a pad of Glitz paper on me!

So I colored up this Gorjuss Girl image, and decided I was going to play along with the Tall Card
Challenge at Just Us Girls, so I cut a piece of cardstock to fit in a regular size business envelope,
and got to work.
Again, this was made at my desk at work, with very very limited supplies!
I do love how sweet and cute it is,
and of course all the girls oooh'ed and ahhhhh'ed over it.
And of course they told me I should open an Etsy shop.
ohhh that sounds a little scary, but maybe I'll look into it!

May luck be on your side

I am having a hard time believing that March is almost over!
As the temperatures are creeping up and up, I'm trying to ready myself for summer!
NOOOOOOO I don't want the heat!

I got out of the Valley of the Sun and headed up to Payson AZ for a day trip with Roxy my border Collie, we played in the stream, and took some beautiful pics by the river!
Do I have any to share?
Not in this post!
I do have a fun ATC that I made for the final week of the luck/st pattys day challenge at Just Some Lines!
I'm ready for spring, and wish that there was an actual spring her in Phoenix, it seems we either have
Hot for summer, or not as Hot for winter!

I uses some vellum for the words, and a button in the middle of the rose!
And she is a little fairy, and could probably live in a garden or forest somewhere!

Hope you are getting crafty this weekend!

I'm a little late getting this post up today,
This is a fab little cupcake topper that I made using one of the newest digi's at Just Some Lines!

I slapped him on a wooden stick and stuck him into
one of the homemade banana cupcakes I made on Thursday!
MMMMM they were yummy!

Hope you are getting crafty this weekend, and come join us for the last few weeks of the

60th birthday card

2 years ago for my moms 60th birthday I got all of her friends to write her a letter!
So yesterday when my mom told me that the daughter of one of our old neighbors was doing the same thing I figured it would be a great opportunity to make a card
(like I need an excuse!)

I knew I wanted to use my stampendous House mouse balloon trio stamp,
But I didn't want to use the whole stamp!
So I fussy cut just one mouse, and mounted that onto a die cut with glitter embossing
All along the edges!
Then I cut a star out of canvas, and stamped the coral and turquoise stars on it.
After tossing some glitter on the background I sewed down the star.
Added som pennants and bows, a couple of buttons, and the glittery 60 in lime green!
Ohhh it was fun to dive into just a little bit of mixed media!
All of the paper for this card came from a 6 x 6 Glitz pack.

Drink me

I have had a very hard time getting motivated today!
I woke up early and have not wanted to cross anything off the list!
I found this
Which pretty sums up my morning!
As I was surfing facebook I saw a great ATC post from my bloggy friend Susan (here)
And was reminded that viva Las Vegas stamps has a challenge going, (here)
And it's double points if you submit an ATC!
Well my lack of motivation could maybe produce an ATC!

There's a great inspiration board on the site, and it was inspired by the 'drink me' tag,
So I added one to my ATC.
The background numbers are from plate 1430, as is the daily stamp on the tag.
This stamp plate is for a December daily, but I think it fits perfect for the card and challenge!

Thanks Susan for inspiring me to get crafty today!

Almost st pattys

I have had a very eventful day!
It included free coffee from a brand new Dutch Brothers,
a nice walk at the park with the dogs,
and a flat tire and sitting on the side of the road for an hour and a half!
So even though I had planned on doing a card for this weeks Just Some Lines post,
I completely ran out of time, and have this fun little ATC to share instead!

Lucky for me I had colored up this little image last week,
and I have a fun ATC to share!
The background paper is from Pretty Little Studios.
I hope you are getting crafty this weekend!

Many thanks

 Good morning everyone!
Please check out my Birthday Giveaway HERE
Did you all "Spring Forward" ok?
We're fortunate here in Arizona in that we don't change our clocks!
So no loss of sleep!
Yesterday I made a few thank you cards!
There are some really great challenges out there this week, so I wanted to try some techniques that I'd never done before!
Over at Just Us Girls (JUGS)
The challenge is to create a weathered wood background.
I am in love with weathered wood, and so I got right to work.
Now I think I could use a little more work on this technique, but I wanted to share the card with
you all anyways!
I also paper pieced the fabulous little dress, shoes, and bow from my tiddly inks image,
the rest of her was colored up using my copic markers.

I did love using this fun new weathered wood technique,
and will definitely be trying it again in the near future!
I'm thinking with tea dye and vintage photo distress inks!

Just sayin

I can promise you this....
I will have a bunch of thank you's to share this week!
With my birthday last week (check out my birthday giveaway here)
and a trip to Florida, I have lots of people to thank for all their love and support!
For this cutie little card I used all peachish colored papers from My Mind's Eye papers, and
at least three different types of washi tape
(or in my case 4 different types of washi!)

I also did something a little fun, I carried the front into the inside by leaving you
hanging with "Just to Say"
Then on the inside I've got this fab little stamp!
Ahhh it was super nice to get back in the studio after a wonderful vacation!

Are you getting crafty this weekend?

How do you sparkle?

 Hello all my bloggy friends,
I am currently away in Florida,
but today is a BRAND spankin new challenge at Anything But a Card!
Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!
Show us how you sparkle!

My friend Mary would love all of this glitter,
she is after all addicted to it for sure!
I got the fabulous wooden love sign when I went shopping with my girlfriend a few weeks ago,
I painted it turquoise, and set it aside for a week or so.
I was going to try doing some wet embossing on it, but it just didn't seem to turn out right.
Sooooo I pulled out my glitter, and went to TOWN!
I started with silver on the O, and stared at that for a day or two,
then I added the pink Stampendous glitter, and mica pieces to the V
Finally I covered some of my wood stars in you guessed it, glitter!
Finally, around the L I wrapped some rusty wire that I got at the Donna Downey Studios
when I visited there last year!
Some music paper and glittery ribbon finished this piece off!

I have a little confession....
Glitter isn't very easy to photograph,
and just as I stepped outside to try to take this picture the wind picked up like crazy!
This piece has found a home on the bookself in the living room, and maybe it will eventually end up on top of the cabinets in the kitchen!

Please come over and see the fabulous projects that the Design Team has posted
at Anything But a Card, and then get some glitter or other sparkly stuff working and come join in the fun!

Isn't this little fairy just so precious?
And she's got a 4 leaf clover to boot!

Ahhh it makes me want a big old glass of green beer, and some corned beef!
I hope you hop on over and join us for this fun new challenge!
Plus!!! Some of the Stamps are coming out in Rubber! Yippeee!
