Wicked step mother

 Soooooo
I got my Etsy Shop open on Friday!
I know how exciting, if you'd like to check it out go HERE
And YES, you can find this card there
(hopefully for a limited time only!)
And if you'd like to use the coupon code (cause who doesn't like to save a bit along the way!)
grandopen will get you 15% off!
So anyways, my very first sale in the new store also asked for a custom card.
She wanted a "mothers day card for my step mother"
Well ok!
So I came up with this fun card.
I just ADORE the glittery letters, and I'm starting to run a little short in my stash, so I might have to run out and get some tomorrow!
You can see the letters are thick chipboard, and the apple is popped up off the card.
Ahhh it felt good to be in the studio, and I'll be there again tomorrow,
as all my work peeps are asking for mothers day cards!

Please hop over to the shop and check out all my goodies!
They are selling like hotcakes!
Well some of them are!

Hope you had a crafty weekend, and are back in work mode!

Jsl

 Happy Saturday
I'm now on the downward slope to my vacation next week!
Yeah!
Today I am sharing this fun mothers day card.
The challenge is still up at Just Some Lines for Spring
I had an order come in for a couple of mothers days cards, and so I figured
two birds, one stone right?
I just love this little image, and it's perfect for mothers day as well as Valentines,
or really just for any occassion!

I found the sketch at  Craft Hoarders Annonymous
where there is a twist to use something new (the digi!) and something old (the ribbon and the button are both from my stash and pretty old)

I hope you are having a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Using stamps

Ok, so I've been on card making overload!
I made this card for a friend at work that wanted a mothers day card for her mother and
mother in law.
I made the "watercolor" paper using my distress inks, and then
splattering it with water.

It's definitely a technique to try!
The colors for the card I found on the Color Q challenge,
and I especially love that I finally got to use one of these great bow's from Freckled Fawn!
And I also got to use the Kraft cardstock for the card base!
Yeah!

The stamp is from Unity Stamps,
and the bow is brand new, and the ribbon is extremely old!!! As in I got it at an estate sale old!

Mini thank you

I have been working furiously on new cards and product...
Because.....
I'm opening an Etsy Shop!!!
Yep, after lots and lots of prodding from my friends and family I am finally doing it!
I also got my first order last week...
and I added this little (2 x 2 1/2 inches) thank you to the package.
I am of course loving the whole chalkboard fad that's going on!
It's simple and effective in my opinion!

Sooooo my new shop is going to be on Etsy,
and I will be posting cards and altered items,
as well as any of the extra estate sale finds that I come across!
Like the bundle of air mail envelopes that I found this week!

I will be posting a grand opening for the shop hopefully in the next week, I would love for you all to stop in and check out my product, and to order if you like!
Thanks so much for stopping in today!

Your the cream

Can I just tell you all that I LOVE square cards!
LOVE them!
However I HATE paying extra postage to mail them....
I mean come on!
So when I have a chance to make a square card that doesn't have to be mailed I jump at the chance!
This fabby image is from Tiddly Inks, and their challenge is Celebrate
I think this card screams celebration!
The sequins, and the bold colors!

I have precious little bit of the chevron paper left, and i'm trying my hardest to stretch it out.
When it's gone I'm sure I will be very sad!

Have a very wonderful week!

Birthday for mom

Well, I missed posting for Just Some Lines today...
Somehow this week just got away from me,
please hop on over and join in the Spring Challenge!

Today I have this Birthday Card to share with you.
I rescently picked up this stamp set from Tim Holtz, there are 8 total stamps, and this cutsie
party hat is one of them!
I just love the happy birthday paper from crate paper,
and since I've been a little addicted to Words With Friends lately,
this is right up my alley!
The fab gems are from Lawn Fawn,
and I even added a little doodling along the edge of the card, and around the die cut circle.

I hope you are getting your creative juices working this weekend!
Me, I'm off to work, and need to start thinking about packing for the scrapbook retreat!

Keep Calm and Hop on

I am super stoked, I have one of my first paying crafting jobs that came in on Thursday!
How fun is it to get paid to do what you love so much?!

Today I have this fun card to share with you all.
Remember we are still up on the Spring challenge at Just Some Lines.
I covered a page from a French textbook with some different washi tape,
added my colored and die cut image, and the little stamp
(I must have gotten that last year after Easter)

The card is top opening, and a fun little easter card.
I hope you are getting your craft on this weekend!

Where you Invest Your Love.....

I am still so floored that it's already April!
However, this means that it's time for a new challenge at Anything But a Card!
This month it's "spring forward: open challenge"

I've been wanting to use some of my stencils, and my spray inks,
and I'm also in love with Mumford and Sons...
How does that play into this post??
Well my "quote" is from a Mumford and Sons song....

I realize that it is extremely hard to tell how big this really is, and when my mom asked me I had to stop and think, it's about 3 ft x 2ft,
and i've temporarilly hung it over my tv in the Living room, but am thinking
I may move it into the craft room.

Spring at just some lines and a Winner!

I am really excited to share my card with you all today.
If you follow my blog at all you know that I don't do very girly stuff.
In fact I generally am the opposite of girly colors and such.
Well today Ihave a bit of a surprise for you
a Girlyish card!
Pink and butterflies! Oh My!
It's time for a new challenge at Just some Lines
This month we are going for Spring or Easter.
I think my card screams spring!
Happy bright colors, and lots of winged goodness!
The image is of course from Just Some Lines, I colored her up with my copic markers,
and used one of my new die cuts to cut her out.
See how the butterflies seem to fly off the page?
Mmmm I am just so in love with this card!
I wanna keep it for myself!
The sentiment is from Denami Designs, and I think it fit perfect!
I do hope that you will come and play along with the challenge this month!

Traveling with fussy and fancy

Well, it's time for another challenge at Fussy and Fancy
The new challenge is TRAVEL.
I got a chance to use my new Tim Holtz stamps,
And a very fabulous Heidi Swapp background stamp.

I love the chalkboard look that's becoming increasingly popular,
And I'm pretty sure this compass stamp is super perfect for chalkboard style!
Here's a close up since it seems to sorta get lost in the big picture
I hope you will hop on over to the Fussy and Fancy blog and join in the travelling fun!
