Painted ipad cover

I'm having a hard time getting my craft mojo up and running this morning,
Sooooo I'm going to blog about altering my ipad cover.
Yep, I finally did it!
I of course should have taken some step by steps for you all to view and love,
But alas I did not!
I will tell you that I started with two coats of gesso,
I then finger pained on deco arts media fluid acrylics in quinacridone red, primary yellow, and cadium orange hue.
Yes I used my fingers, and yes, it was amazing!!
I then stamped using archival black ink and an alphabet stamp.
Then I went to town with the circles.
Again using the deco arts media fluid acrylics, this time in yellow green light, and cobalt teal hue.
I also used Media white tinting base.
To add the little bits of gold I used the metallic lustre in brilliant turquoise and put it through a stencil. I love how this adds a bit of dimension.
Finally I used an Andy Skinner stencil Serendipity and Carbon black paint to stencil the words.
I created the border, and finished it all off with the triple thick gloss medium to seal it all in.

I am over the moon in love with how it turned out, and will be finishing off the
back side in short order.
If you are bored with your plain black ipad case, you too can do this project.
It took less than an hour, with another hour or so for dry time on the gloss.

I am linking this up with the Brights Challenge on Andy Skinner's blog.
