A bookmark for Steph

Happy weekend!!!
Well maybe for some of you it's the weekend...
I still have work tonight and tomorrow night...
I'm super excited about the Bronco's game tomorrow!!
I'm all decked out in my Bronco's gear at work tonight!
And I know I won't get much sleep as the game is on early!

Ok, ok, ok so today I took an hour (or two) and created another bookmark
The one I brought for my work friend Sasha was such a hit that all the girls now HAVE to have one!
So I created this one for my dear friend Steph, who is almost never without her cuppa coffee!
I handed her a stack of digi's I had printed out, and she
of course picked out this super cute Saturated Canary digi!
And who am I to say no??
The sentiment stamp is from Unity stamps, and I'll be linking her up next Friday (the 18th)
for their Friends with Flair!
I love love love that stamp, especially since it has my word for the year BELIEVE in it!
First thing I did when I got up today was run to the mailbox hoping it would be there!
And it was!
Ok, so I finally took some time last night and watched a youtube tutorial on coloring hair...
I am so much happier with how the hair turned out....   Still a work in progress, but much better!
Here's her close up!

My only regret with this bookmark is that I covered up some of the cool stamping that I did...
Behind the digi there is an image of a bicycle, and the eiffle tower...
Seeing the eiffle tower is a dream of mine... Oh how I want to go to Paris one day...
And the bike, well it's sorta french, but it's a definite goal of mine to get in better shape this year!

Steph seems to love the bookmark, so I hope you all do too!!!

Funkie junkie tag #9

Happy day before Thanksgiving
Are you all prepped and ready for the craziness??
I know I am! Lucky me I don't have to do all the cooking...
I work Thanksgiving night, and we all bring a part of the meal! Yeah!
I'm soooo looking forward to Steph's green bean casserole,
And I'm trying out my Great Aunt Jewell's chocolate divine dessert... Mmmmmm

Ok ok, enough jabbering on..
This post is actually another Christmas tag from The funkie junkie week 9
Hop on over and see what Linda created!
Then you'll see I was inspired by her layout, and her background
This challenge is being brought to you by her store The funkie junkie boutique
Where she's having a moving sale!  Yep, she's headed to Gainesville from South Florida!

Sooooo for the background I cut a piece of scrapbook paper with that wood!
I then die cut all the hearts out of some distress papers
Then I used my new distress stain to ink up the hearts
I was also inspired by the button on Linda's creation with the twine
I only had a super small piece, so I made it work
Then I added the ticket, the number 4 and the bow on top!
The leaf is also a die cut that I grunted up with my sanding block

Here's another look!

31 days of Halloween: day 10

As you may know I adore the images at dilly beans!
And while I've been preoccupied with my 31 days of Halloween,
I still wanted to play along with the challenge this week!
I think this fun card could be a fabulous Halloween birthday card??
Ok, so the challenge was to use black, pink and purple...
I had to add the green to make it a little halloweeny (is that a word?)
Anyways, I wanted to use a couple of new stamps that I picked up at Michaels this week
(On sale!!)
I also wanted to play along with cut it up challenges by using pink (and die cuts)
All those perfect circles are most certainly NOT cut by hand!!
I stamped them with one of the stamps to make them more festive
Finally here's her close up....
I added glitter for a bit more festive!!
Tomorrow is the last day of the challenge at dilly beans, so whip something up
Real quick and come join in the fun!

Fall is in the air???

I am so excited to share today's creation with you
First because I got to use a brand new die cut, and second because
It just turned out fabulous!

Soooooo, first of all I have been playing along with Designed to Color
To celebrate their 1000th Facebook fan
Their challenge is a scavenger hunt to find a recipe for a creation..
I Love scavenger hunts... I even had one for my 17th birthday!
So I found all the items I needed to use: a colored image, at least 2 patterned papers,
Bling, twine, and some doodling.

Here's what I came up with!

Yep, it's a picture frame!
Yesterday was half price day at the Goodwill, so I got this frame for 75 cents!
Can you see all my elements?
Why fall you say, since its105 degrees out STILL?
Well cause that's the challenge over at Dilly beans! One of my favorite
challenges! I just love the images Megan puts out!
Here's a close up.... And my doodling element is in the stripes in the background

So we've got the colored image, the doodling, and the patterned papers (with the leaves!)
Now we need some bling and twine!

I covered these grunge paper letters with gold glitter (hubby's suggestion) and then sealed them in
with some glossy accents.... And did you notice that I sewed the center of all the leaves??
I LOVE this tattered leaves die that I picked up on clearance at Michaels!
And all of this was inspired by the challenge at Cut it Up Challenges which is
to create something from their fall inspired pictured, and of course to use something die cut!

Just a quick reminder that a project like this would be perfect over at
Anything but a Card where the challenge is to use texture!

So a recap, this pretty frame is being entered into the challenges at:
